Christmas

We had a very merry Christmas this year! Christmas Eve we heard Kaitlyn crying in her room and went to investigate. She let us know she did NOT want Santa to come, and she did NOT want a doll house. I think she was a little nervous about the bearded guy from the mall sneaking into our house in the night. We assured her that we would just have mommy, daddy, and Kaitlyn for Christmas. Despite that setback, she was very happy to see her presents Christmas morning. And she LOVED her doll house.

Another favorite gift was some cutting food from Aunt Debbie and Uncle Steve.
Reading a book she gave daddy for Christmas.
One more favorite gift, Grandma Koeven sent her this flashlight and she was amazed by it.
One of her favorite things to do with her doll house is turn on the music in the car and on the tv and dance around in circles.
Spencer and I got some great gifts as well - clothes, tools, kitchen gadgets, a tv (a little early).... One of my favorites was a gift Spencer picked out on his own - he got me a video monitor to use in the baby's room. He spent a lot of time bidding on ebay to get a good deal on one. We've enjoyed being able to see what goes on in Kaitlyn's room when we leave her for bed/nap. One night I woke up and could hear her in there saying something, so I turned on the monitor and she was laying there with her eyes open singing 'itsy bitsy spider' over and over. Then she told herself to stop singing and go to sleep, and rolled over and did just that.

In other news, here's the latest baby belly picture, taken on Christmas Day. Kaitlyn wanted to show off her baby belly too.
We were planning on being induced yesterday (Dec. 29), but Kaitlyn came down with a bad fever and complained of her back hurting Tuesday (Dec 28). After a trip to the dr and ruling out strep, ear infections, and a UTI we came home to wait it out. She was a pretty sad little girl. We didn't feel good about leaving her, not knowing if she would get worse, and both her dr and my dr recommended waiting on being induced. So no baby yet. (She ended up feeling great yesterday, no fever.... until I took her temp when I put her to bed and it was 101 again. But nothing today.) Here's a picture of the sick one.I have an appointment today at 2:30 and we'll find out when they will be able to induce me now.

Here's a clip from Christmas morning.

Our next post should be welcoming baby boy Mann!
