We had a fun Memorial Day Weekend. We had a family in our ward over Saturday night for dinner and some games, went to a park for a picnic, and had a barbecue and went swimming at the Spittles.
David was in heaven with all the rocks. He didn't have much to do with the toys, but he kept picking up handfuls of rocks and carrying them around.
Kaitlyn didn't enjoy the rocks as much. She had to keep dumping them out of her crocs. :)
Greg and Leah invited us over to their house last year on Memorial Day, and they were kind enough to invite us again this year. Kaitlyn LOVES their pool. And their dog. She's basically in heaven when we are at their house. David was in the water for several hours, and seemed to love it as well. He doesn't appreciate dogs yet, though, and was good at avoiding her. Spencer and I enjoyed the great food, and visiting with the other families. The guys got in a big water-noodle battle, which Kaitlyn ruled over. She called out a noodle color, and then all the men attacked the person with that color noodle. Everyone noticed that Spencer's color wasn't getting called, and she later admitted to me that she didn't want dad to get hit so she wasn't calling his color. What a sweetie. :)
