Canton Trade Days

Last weekend we drove a couple of hours to visit a flea market that happens once a month.  We went to one back when I was pregnant with David, and it was a lot of fun to see all the crazy/cool stuff they had there.  It turns out this one was HUGE.  We ended up getting lost by the end, and only making it back to our car by figuring out directions from the setting sun. :)  But the weather was perfect, the kids were great, and we saw a lot of neat things.

Spencer loved these colorful animals that were all over the place.  While he was taking a picture of them, the people working came and moved some out of the way so Kaitlyn could stand in the middle, and then handed her one to hold.

There was so much interesting stuff there.  A lot of junk, some cool antiques, fun toys, good deals, and rip-offs. :)

Kaitlyn wanted a turn in the stroller, and David NEEDED a turn out of it.  As you can see, he did not want to be told where to walk.  He is struggling with all his might to get away from me and wander free.

Spencer thought these motorized wheel chairs were hilarious. The first thing he noticed while walking into the flea market was all the old people riding around in them.  They were seriously everywhere.  We later found out there are several vendors that rent them out throughout the market.

It was fun to get out as a family and explore a little.  David had an awful cough that sounded worse and worse throughout the trip, and the ride home was a little unbearable in rush hour traffic with tired kids, but looking back I'd say it was worth it.  Good times!
This was my purchase - a jar of buttons.  We also picked up an old toy dump truck and a camera case.

How fun, I can see the dump truck in the picture of changing David's diaper. That looks really nice! What a fun adventure, I can't believe you didn't buy one of those flying pigs in the colorful animal display ;) What a great outing! Hope everyone is feeling better now.
